The domain name Yalla.com closed earlier this week for a whopping $170,888 USD after expiring and being auctioned off on GoDaddy.
We covered the story which you can read here read here, at the time I questioned why the domain name would sell for such a high figure with little traffic and meaning within the English language.
My thread on NamePros which you can read here discusses the sale and a number of members believe it’s do with the Arabic meaning of Yalla which is used daily within the language.
Within that thread it was also identified that Yalla.net has expired and is in auction too, shall the same bidder pony up to acquire it or will another buyer come to the table to get there hands on Yalla.net
