Nicks makes the top leadership team at GoDaddy.
Paul Nicks has been promoted to the highest level of GoDaddy’s (NYSE: GDDY) leadership team after being named President of Domains this month.
Nicks joined GoDaddy in 2007 and has spent nearly his entire time there involved in the domain aftermarket business.
During that time, the aftermarket has become a meaningful part of the company’s business. It now accounts for 10% of GoDaddy’s revenue. According to a slide presented at GoDaddy’s Investor Day today, sales of aftermarket domains have increased at a 29% compounded annual growth rate since 2019.
The domains segment is the largest of GoDaddy’s three business lines.
Nicks is a long-time fixture in the domain investing community. He’s known for being accessible to domain investors and personally responding to many suggestions and complaints about GoDaddy’s domain investing tools.
