A gift card company, a non-profit, and a new job board bought domain names.
Sedo had a strong week for end user domain name sales, led by the sale of “Gift card” in French on the .fr ccTLD. Absent from the list below is Links.to, which sold for $30,000. I can’t figure out who bought it, but it will likely be developed soon.
Here’s a list of end user domain name sales that just completed at Sedo. You can view previous lists like this here.
CarteCadeau.fr €49,000 – Giftcards B.V. in the Netherlands bought this domain. Carte cadeau is French for gift card, and it forwards this domain to GiftCards.nl.
OneGoal.com $34,995 – This looks cool. One Goal is a non-profit that helps get students in low-income areas to go to and graduate from college. Here’s a description from its site: “We find, train, and support excellent teachers already working in low-income public high schools to guide their students to achieve their greatest postsecondary aspirations. These teachers, known as Program Directors, work for three years with conviction, tenacity, and a fierce determination to ensure their students have a real chance at reaching graduation at the end of their college or technical education.” The charity uses the domain OneGoalEducation.org.

OSSO will be providing these core operational functions to multiple developmental service agencies.”
